We thought the itinerary would be a great summer escape from the heat and it was! Except for two hours it took to get onboard and the sliding glass door being shattered on our mini-suite balcony. They wrapped it in a heavy duty cling wrap and were able to move us the following day to a cabin down the hall. Evidently the guest in that cabin missed the boat since the ship was at capacity. The reason we gave it two stars instead of 1 is due to the excellent service from our cabin steward and the bartenders in the Wheelhouse. Food was not as good as before Covid. Service was slow and inattentive. Seemed short staffed but even the staff they had were poorly trained. In 13 days, never got a morning specialty coffee order right. How many ways can you get a skinny cappuccino wrong, at least 13 days! Dining room was inconsistent. Music in piazza was way too loud. No chocolates on the pillow. No tote bag as a gift. Those days are gone and it seems the accountants are running the show. That's never a good idea when your product is hospitality and entertainment. Today, spent 35 minutes on the phone trying to find out the status of our $313. OBC refund after 8 weeks waiting for it. Will I cruise with Princess again? Maybe but they really need to up their game.
we love mini=suites, enjoy the extra space. glad they moved us to a cabin without a shattered sliding glass door to balcony
wish we could have stayed there longer. Great lobster salad at the brew pub on the corner of the Main Street
