My wife and I did The British Isles & Ireland Cruise in August 2022 and without doubt have classed it as the worst cruise we have ever had the misfortune to go on. The ship was supposedly refitted prior to its first sailing in April 2022 but the only signs of a ‘refit’ were the changing of all thing’s plastic to the new corporate colour of purple. Past C&M cruisers felt that it was essentially the same ship as the one was previously destined for the scrap yard.

The restaurant food was served luke warm, at best – followed by prematurely served luke warm (weak) coffee. For 2 nights running the meat served with my main course was inedible and the vegetables were mainly overcooked and tasteless.

The balcony door would not fully open due to the balcony’s narrow width and access was only possible by contorting yourself around the door and the furniture. Once accessed the balcony metalwork was patched with rust from end to end with flaking paint and rust particles spattered across the seats, table and the artificial turf floor covering.

Cabin Review

Whilst the steward kept the cabin clean the furnishings - especially the mis-matched curtains - were drab and in need of upgrading.
