We chose this cruise for access to glaciers and we're not disappointed in this regard. But we had really hoped to learn more about Alaska: its native culture, industry, and current issues and were disappointed that Royal Caribbean had nothing at all on board, either live or on the tv, for us to learn more. Partly because of the weather, the ping pong table, pickleball court, and rock climbing wall could not be used very much. Food: in the main dining room the service was intrusive and overbearing so we switched to the Windjammer buffet. Food there: fruit and vegetables were excellent in variety and quality. Meat - of mixed quality; meat carved was excellent but much of the rest seemed recycled, often dry and tough. Breads - very good. Desserts - mostly disappointing, especially the pies which were tasteless with tough pastry....desserts all looked better than they tasted. Breakfasts were always very good. Personnel were all terrific and helpful. Entertainment on board -lots of variety. Noise level on board - few places except staterooms where there was respite from loud music. No access to clasical music. No help at all with luggage when boarding.
