This was a British Isles cruise not Alaska and we chose it because it allowed us to attend the Edinburgh Military Tattoo while docked in Glasgow. This would have been wonderful except that I missed all of the Scotland ports due to being quarantined for Covid (my husband did get to go and he said it was great) and my husband also missed several ports due to Covid (he tested + a few days after me). The crew was very nice and tried to be helpful but there was little to do when quarantined in a cabin. The ship does not tape the evening shows so that they can be watched while in the cabin nor do they broadcast them live so we missed many of the evening shows. There were many passengers in quarantine so this affected lots of us. We also thought it was a bit sketchy when we both tested negative the day before the cruise ended (even though when I tested my husband he was still positive).

I was very unimpressed with the food overall. It was as if the chef wanted to be creative rather then serve food that matched what it was called. The chili at the Salty Dog Grill didn’t taste like any chili I’ve ever had, the grilled cheese sandwich ordered from room service tasted like it had mustard on it and many of the entrees I ordered were not as expected and rather tasteless or with poor texture.

My biggest issue with the cruise has been my inability to get answers from Princess about the future cruise credit that I was promised for days lost due to being quarantined. More than a month after disembarkation I have heard nothing from Princess about this FCC and can get no info by phone (innumerable calls) and no answer to the emails I have sent. In addition I had a balance owed me on my folio at the end of the cruise and rather than receiving a credit back to my credit card (within a few days) I received a check in the mail from a third party after about three weeks.
