This was the fourth Celebrity Cruise we took in the past 20 years. The overall experience was still good. Staffs were nice and polite. But I found a lot of very new unexperienced staffs around. This probably due to shortage of staff after pandemic re-opening.
Cocktails were inconsistent, made differently from different bars. I had ordered 4 or 5 mojitos in this ship, only one of them tasted authentic. I had been in Caribbean, Cuba, Dominion Republic, etc multiple times. Trust me I know what mojito should taste like. And now in theatre, they did not serve drinks directly to the seats, but you need to go the back yourself to order. I remember staff would come to the seats and ask for order in my previous sails. Something new to me.
Food quality was also inconsistent. Celebrity is known to have good food, but for this ship, I cannot say it was bad, but not as good as before. Food variety is also limited as compared before. I seldom needed to wait for the dining room to open in my previous sailing. But I needed to wait pretty much every time this ship, and many guests waiting outside Metropolitan every night. These were pretty much the rare occasions there were crowds in this ship. And dishes were slow as well. Multiple times, we needed more than 2 hours to finish all courses and we missed some entertainment schedule afterward. Dining room was not full. Not sure why things were so slow.
Cabin was decent size, clean and tidy. Modern look, with USB charging ports both in the desk and bedside.
