Sail Date: Sep 2022
Cabin: Concierge Class 1

This was our first cruise with Celebrity. Previously have gone with HA, RC and most frequently NCL. Having not cruised since 2019 wanted a short cruise to get us back in the swing of things. This fitted the bill. On NCL had used a Mini Suite so decided to try Concierge.

Pre cruise customer service poor, very late getting luggage labels and joining instructions. Also took some time to get OBC available. However if you face the same, just ring them up.

The day we arrived in Southampton was a nightmare with traffic gridlocked due to four ships departing and preparing for boat show. Should have been on at 1200, eventually got on at 1330.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 1

Cabin roomy, helped by bed shape. King sized bed. Plenty of hanging space and hangers. Sufficient draws and shelves above bed. Safety deposit box easy to use and well located. Balcony quite roomy with two chairs, foot rests and a table. When balcony glass was dirty due to spray it was washed down.

Bathroom seemed larger than I expected with good quality products and plenty of shelf space

Port Reviews

Bilbao

Visited old town, La Ribera food market for lunch and used the funicular railway to get a great view of Bilbao

La Rochelle-La Pallice

Lovely town to wander around. A number of towers to visit, unfortunately we did not have time. Visited the German bunker museum. Really good place with English translation provided. Nice port area to wander around and have a snack

Vigo

Not a great fan of Vigo having been here before. However bought a two hour tour on the quayside which was good value and took us to the beach and a high viewing point.

Le Havre

Took a shuttle bus into town. it was Sunday but the market was on and quite enjoyable. St Joseph’s church is worth a visit but we could not go in due to services being on. Didn’t stay long as not much to see given it is a modern city.
