We chose this cruise because we had done a Rhine cruise before and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, this cruise did not live up to expectations. The good points: the boat is lovely, very clean and comfortable. Good size cabin with plenty of storage. Great sun deck, superb food and lovely staff.

The down side was the itinerary, very disappointing. Apart from Koblenz, the boat was moored a considerable distance from the town, mostly well over 1 km away, walking through industrial estates on 3 occasions. We had assumed, as on the previous cruise, that we would be within very easy walking distance of the town centre. There was no provision to get a taxi, no shuttle bus laid on etc. A lot of people who could not walk far were very upset by this. Luckily, we had two excursions booked, otherwise we would have seen very little of the towns. It does say that the boat is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. It was easy getting up and down the stairs, there was no mention of walking distances. Frankfurt airport was another problem. Coaches are not allowed to drop off or pick up at the terminal, but have to use a coach park, again over 1 km away from the terminal. This is a long walk with luggage when you are using a walking stick. Luckily, there were some trolleys that we managed to use.

Hopefully, Tui will address these problems in the future.

Cabin Review

Excellent cabin, plenty of storage, comfortable beds. No noise from engines etc.
