With so many cruise cancellations because of Covid, we were eager to get back on board a ship and chose this one. Of course going to the Caribbean is a no brainer. We embarked in Fort Lauderdale, which was quick and easy. 9 night cruise, with ports of call in Grand Cayman and the famous ABC Islands...Aruba, Curacao, and Bonaire. My favorite was Curacao, with my wife's being Bonaire. Great weather, though very humid being the month of September, and great seas the entire cruise. If you are looking for beautiful seas and very nice ports of call, then book this one. Highly recommended. The ship Equinox is very easy to navigate with plenty of cocktail lounges and eating facilities. We have been disappointed on other ships booking fine dining, so we stayed with select dining. Food was pretty good but the service was outstanding. Some of the lounge acts were very good and some not so good. No big deal though, just order another cocktail. My wife's favorite expression I will use in closing ( Just Enjoy ).
Stateroom #7248. Good location to navigate the ship. One minor issue is where they placed the clothes closet. Next to the bed which made it difficult to access as not much room to maneuver. Good views from the balcony. However, the emergency vessels are located on the 5th floor and were directly under the balcony. Unfortunately they come into view once you gaze over the railing. Not a big deal as you do have all that beautiful ocean just on the other side.
First of the ABC Islands for us and really enjoyed our stay. We booked the Cocktail Sunset Cruise and it was unbelievable. I would highly recommend this excursion. Beautiful turquoise blue waters and a great lunch at The West Deck.
My wife's favorite. Beautiful blue waters, sometimes with three shades of blue. We rented a golf cart as our excursion, and it was a blast. A great way to explore the island. Look for the pink Flamingo's.
My favorite port based on the vast shopping offered just outside our ship. And the different colored buildings which reminded us a bit of Italy. Also got to witness the opening of the bridge to let a boat go by. We got stuck in the middle when the alarm sounded, but managed to get off before it moved. Great port of call.
Our first port of call and what a way to get started. The beautiful blue waters and had an excellent meal at Casanova by the Sea. Italian food and it was excellent. Made it to 7 mile beach for a swim.
