All things considered, MSC Divina is worth a shot. I think there are some excellent reasons to give MSC a try over Royal Caribbean or Carnival. I'll try to be objective in explaining my four-star review.
Embarkation:
Departure out of Canaveral was a breeze. The port itself is relatively easy to park at, and MSC seems to have a pretty smooth process. Cabins were available at 1:30 PM and the ship was already busy with activity. I found the staff to be somewhat insistent on up-selling drinks and restaurants. We ended up purchasing the Easy Plus drink package.
The cabin was very clean and elegant. I could tell that MSC put considerable effort into the actual design of the ship, selection of upholstery, and maintenance of the cabins. The bed was slightly more comfortable than I'm used to with Royal Caribbean. The balcony is somewhat small compared to others I have experienced, but I had no issues overall.
There is very little to do in Nassau outside of shore excursions from the Cruise Line. The island itself is very pretty, but the port is plagued by construction and haggling for tours, taxis, touristy bars, and cheap merchandise. To truly experience the island, I'd recommend booking a tour through the cruise line or hiring a private tour. The port will be stunning when the construction is done, but until then, there isn't much going on.
