Needed to get away for a few days. This seemed like a good choice as the port was only 2 1/2 away and it was a short 4 night break. In all fairness to RCL I knew it was a “family oriented cruise line” but I foolishly believed that children would be in school this early in the school year. Boy was I wrong! I would estimate that there were at 500-700 screaming, crying, running, jumping, coughing children. Quite a few of these children were not school age but those that were made it very chaotic. The food in the disorganized main dinning room was poor to average at best. First night the two of us were seated at a table for 8 after a very long wait. If you go for anytime dinning it means anytime after 6:45. Many dishes at our table of 10 were sent back. Meat and desserts were particularly poor. Your assigned boarding time means nothing. We went at our time which was early and it was chaos as they were boarding everyone. Coco Cay was nice but other than a tram ride through the beautiful landscaping it was all sunbathers and water slides. Not exactly for seniors. The midship balcony room was nothing special. Steward was very good. Not enough elevators for a ship this size (3600). Ship was clean. Bought internet package for $73.00 and it was in and out all the time. They did transfer my Celebrity loyalty status which put me in Diamond Club which was very nice. We had snacks and cocktails every night with that. Garage parking a whooping $85.00. Will never sail RCL again.
Clean, cramped. Bed fairly comfortable. Long walk to elevators.
