My husband and I took the Viking Ocean Cruise to Alaska and loved everything about Viking. We heard many people on the cruise say that they met their 'cruising' friends on the River Cruises, and how small and friendly the river cruises were. We can honestly say that after this cruise, we agree with ALL of the positive statements we heard about the Viking River Cruises. The cabins were perfect, the food was way too good, and the itineraries were just amazing. Viking has both additional and included excursions. We did both, and both were fabulous. The tour guides were all friendly and knowledgeable, and professional. We were very impressed with all of our excursions, the best one being the tour of the Cologne Church, which was extra, and worth every penny.

I cannot give a review without mentioning the Program Director of the Magni. He was not only energetic, fun and professional, he spoke about 5 languages (or more), provided informative presentations for each city/port we were going to next, and he was the best program director we have ever experienced. He let us know what is expected (during the COVID testing times), and informed us when the testing was no longer required.

We cannot wait to go on our next Viking adventure, which is scheduled for December! I highly recommend both the River Cruises (Budapest to Amsterdam) as well as Viking Cruise Lines in general. Read more
