Out of maybe twenty cruises, this was probably our favorite. A new ship, a route we've wanted to do for three years, and good weather.

We booked through HAL this time. No big box rebate, but the PCC knew all about HAL and always answered the phone after a few rings. We booked the cheapest veranda and then signed up for Club Orange, which allowed us to move to a V category with a bigger balcony. As it happened, we very much loved dining in the Club Orange.

The food was very good to great. Several fish dishes were labeled fresh, and I think they were. The Fresh Norwegian Salmon was available nightly. It was so good I ordered it on three nights. Club Orange has an open kitchen concept, and I could see how carefully they prepare the meals. Also excellent were the soups, salads, and desserts. Service was elegant. The Club Orange was quiet, and never a wait for a table for two, no matter what time we appeared for dinner.

Cabin Review
