I really went into this MSC cruise thinking this would be my dedicated cruise line to sail with. As my trip went on I am not considering sailing with MSC again. There were some things I really liked about the MSC Seashore. The ship was always spotless, never anything wrong. There was always something to do on the itinerary that was interesting and entertaining so there was little down time.

My complaints are the room cleaning was not great, just seemed liked they made the bed and threw out the garbage. Our bathroom always had a weird smell. The elevators were absolutely terrible it would either take 30 seconds for the elevator to come or 5+ minutes. The have some weird system with the elevators that you would pick which floor you want and it would dedicate an elevator (A through D) and they took so long that if you had to go down 4 or 5 decks you might as well us the stairs. The buffet was extremely confusing, the different categories of food would always change location so you would have to do laps around the buffet every time in order to find anything. Simple things like butter was never next to the bread or ketchup was never next to the fries. Simple things like that were so frustrating that I was so excited to get off the boat to get food on the islands. We had the unlimited drink package and every time it would take 30 minutes minimum to get a drink. There was only 2 or 3 bartenders behind the bar at once at a massive bar like the casino where there were 30 people standing around waiting to order a drink. Same with the drinks in the buffet, just to get a bottle of water or a soda for lunch 20 to 30 minutes. So much time is wasted with the bars and the drinks were never consistent. They would always make the drinks in different glasses so sometimes you would get more of a drink than others. Drinks ordered with the bar service at casino tables were always made stronger then just ordering at any other bar. Getting extra towels and stuff like that was almost impossible we asked guest services several times for extra towels and they would say they would send someone down and they would never show up. We would have to dry our bath towels on our balcony in we wanted to have towels for the next day. The sit down restaurant was extremely chaotic and crazy. There were sometimes you would order drinks and they wouldn't show up. If you knew you were going to want more than one drink you would have to order them all at once in hopes they make it to the table by the time your food comes. Also for some reason dessert would take so long to come out once you finished your dinner.

Overall I wanted this to be my dedicated cruise line to sail on, but as the days went on I was just waiting to get off that ship. I started off this cruise thinking it was a 4.5/5 star cruise. The embarkation time was extremely quick from horror stories that I have heard of people getting stuck in the Miami heat for hours waiting to get on the ship. I thought all the negative things that I was dealing was just like day one issues and once everyone was settled everything would be fine, but I was very wrong. I don't think I would choose to sail with MSC again.

Cabin Review

We had a deluxe balcony stateroom which was very spacious and had a good amount of storage. We kind of got the short end of the stick with our balcony though. Our room was number 14065 and it was placed on a weird curve of the ship so our balcony was smaller than every other balcony. I looked over to other balcony's and they were much bigger than ours. Our bathroom had a weird smell and when we would have the staff come and clean it would still have a strange smell. We always had to have the door closed. Also they choose to do "balcony maintenance" on our trip so we couldn't use our balcony most of one of the days.

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve

Beautiful private island by MSC. It isn't shared by any other cruise line so it was not crowded at all
