Researched many cruise lines, and decided on NCL because of the itinerary, length of cruise, ship population, and price. We were not disappointed. We choose the first week of September as we thought weather would be decent (it was perfect), hoping to catch a glimpse of Northern Lights (we did not) and felt it would be more folks are age (mid 60's)due to the beginning of the school year (it was mostly our age or older). First off, the boat was only half capacity, so I do not know if that had anything to do with the cleanliness of the boat, cheerful staff, absolutely no wait in any restaurant or any holdups at disembarkment for the ports. We ate at the main cafeteria for breakfast, which was delicious with a very good assortment of most breakfast items. We did do a lunch or two there which was also good. We mainly ate at the Speciality Restaurants or Windows Complimentary, all were delicious with attentive wait staff. The shows on board were good, some a little too"old"for us (broadway songs, cuban nights) so we really did not stay long. We are old, but still like classic rock and newer tunes). Fun activities throughout the day (trivia, tastings, games). Ports were all great, lots of shopping if that is what you are into. My husband and I went for scenery and excursions, which were great. We booked a few through ship and a few thru trip advisor. No complaints regarding either. We kayaked, went on hovercraft, whale watched, and did Segways. We booked early excursions, then explored on our own. Have been on Celebrity, Carnival and now NCL. This was my favorite cruise line so far and definitely my favorite destination.

Cabin Review

Very clean, modern. Wall soap/shampoo dispensers. Two chairs and a table on balcony. Enough outlets for electronics.
