We chose this cruise because of the New England and Canadian itinerary. We are platinum class cruisers on Princess, so Princess seemed the best choice for us. This was our 21st cruise on various lines. We are in our mid-60s, so we've traveled around the world, usually on cruises.

The embarkation was very easy. We hired a van to get us from our home to the Brooklyn port, since this cruise was not round-trip and ended in Quebec. The port was not busy, other than the Caribbean Princess embarkation. Once on board we headed immediately to our cabin. Our bags arrived less than 2 hours after we boarded. We booked a mini-suite on Dolphin Deck. The suite was large enough with a separate seating area. The furniture is not new, but it was reasonably comfortable. The cabin had two large TVs. There is a decent choice of movies, etc available. The news channels are very limited. The TV can also be used to order room service, which we did use one time. The remote was problematic, as was the menu on both of the TVs. Sometimes we got no response from the remote.

The bed was deadly soft, as were the pillows. The mattress must have been very old. This was one thing that we did not discuss with Princess, but on reflection, we should have asked them to remove that old mattress or give us a topper. The too-soft bed made for a lot of morning back discomfort.
