Having cruised with other companies, i must say i am more than a little dissappointed with MSC, the ships seems to have been designed to carry a large amount of passengers, but without increasing other facilities, ie bars, leisure, theatre, for example the other cruise liners have more than half the passengers, but the same if not more facilities, the galeria is a nice idea, but can resemble a cattle market in the evening when the shows are kicking out and they ships uses the area as a night club.
I was not happy with the amount of after sales required, speciality dinning that on other cruise lines are inclusive, even down to having to pay for ice cream cones, the food in the restaurants was nothing more than pub food, served by waiters, the inclusive entertainment was really 2nd rate, leaving you no option but to pay for alternative shows.so overall not a good experience, and I hasten to add i will not be booking with MSC again.
smaller than expected, very narrow, balcony was little, could not extent my legs when sat in chair, and im only 5'9'.
heard alot about the Flam railway, so paid over 300 pounds for my wife and myself, avoid this any time during peak season, trains where packed so did not really enjoy ride or views, when train stopped for people to photograph waterfalls, there was very little time and the crowd was 20 deep, trip was run on a tight schedule, so no time to really enjoy it.
