We picked this cruise because of the itinerary.

The ship is old but very beautiful, food was excellent and the service was wonderful. Every crew member did everything possible to make sure our experience was top rated. The ports of call were mostly interesting, especially Bordeaux, Bilbao (the Rioja region) Porto and Lisbon. We prefer the Azamara small ship experience due to the personal attention and the ship’s ability to access ports larger ships cannot. We enjoy the White Night party and the special local cultural entertainment they provide their guests. Our status allowed us 2 bags of laundry free which came in handy. The cuisine and service in the Aqualina and Prime C specialty restaurants was outstanding.

Our captain was personable and professional, and our cruise director Amanda was excellent. Because the ship is small, getting around from on end to the other was quick and easy. Both bands were very good.

Club Veranda Plus Stateroom

We had a veranda plus stateroom. A typical sized room with the typical tiny bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. The room needed more AC power outlets and USB outlets. It would be nice to have a USB power outlet on each side of the bed

Port Reviews

Bilbao

We had a private tour to La Rioja wine region and it was fantastic. We used Best of Basque company and is highly recommended.
