My mom and I chose this cruise out of Galveston for 3 main reasons: convenient port location (close to home), price, and to try out Royal Caribbean for the first time.

Overall, it was a lovely cruise. We experienced incredible service from the dining staff, bartenders, room stewards etc. We made great friends in the pool and casino. The ship was clean and had plenty of space. Our balcony cabin was spacious and quiet. We bought the drink package and enjoyed the ease of never having to pay for a drink. We also shared the WiFi and it worked decently well. The entertainment was on par with most cruise ships, like variety shows, but the Ice shows was incredible.

We only had one main complaint. The food was good, but not exciting. As frequent Carnival cruisers, we felt that the food on Carnival was better. We sometimes found the buffet to be better than the main dining room, which was disappointing.
