We are frequent cruisers and have traveled with HAL several times in the past. We wanted a cruise that would stay close to the US that visited places we had not previously seen. In retrospect it’s clear that this itinerary is less than compelling with most ports having minimal activities off ship if you do not chose the cruise lines’ tours.
Dining experience was good though don’t expect surf and turf to include lobster without a (disappointing) upcharge. A large number of servers in the dining room were clearly novices and not ready.
Cabin service has dropped from twice daily to once. Like animal-shaped towels on your bed along with chocolates? Don’t expect them any longer.
Generally fine. We sanitize all high touch surfaces ( handles, switches, drawers, faucets, etc) with Clorox wipes and found dirt on most. It appears the rooms are not “ deep cleaned”.
