We gave this a 1 only because of the spacious and well-organized ocean view cabins. However we will never sail on Costa again. There were numerous problems from even before we sailed -
*user-unfriendly website One example: the option for buying Internet package disappeared about 2 weeks before sailing - "yes, there's a problem. It's not working" forcing anyone who hadn't bought already to buy much more expensive package onboard OR, as in my case, to spend two days fighting them and finally getting the package as offered on the site)
*misleading presentation of shore excursions (large picture of Urquhart castle - the only picture promoting that excursion - and it was the # 2 listing on Excursion STOPS but lower down in the small print it says "viewing" but even that didn't happen,
Cabin Review
Cabin is the only positive aspect of our time on the Fortuna. We chose Ocean view and were pleasantly surprised when we discovered it was same size as a balcony. The layout is terrific, window very large, great view. The bathroom/shower was larger and with more space for toiletries than any other ship we've been on. Still, not enough to offset all the larger, overall problems and policies of Costa.
