We do wish there was more competition from San Francisco. The weather in Alaska was just appalling except for Sitka. Sitka now has a dock 5 miles out of town. A FREE bus is supposed to run every 15 mins but it is hopeless, disorganized queue jumping, free for all elbow jabbing contest. Expect to queue for hours waiting to return to ship. If there is more than 1 ship in town the guests from both are mixed together and panic sets it if one ship is leaving earlier than the other. Princess must organize this better. We enjoyed a long walk.

We were lucky to see the Johns Hopkins Glacier - but it is so deeply troubling to see how the glaciers are retreating and the trouble the planet is in. Loved the Park ranger commentary.

Juneau and Ketchikan were total washouts due to torrential rain. We have been before. New for us was Prince Rupert in British Columbia. This small place was a waste of time, much was closed on Sunday. We did enjoy the Sunken garden on our own. There is not much to see in town unless you are pining for Walmart and Safeway neither of which were well stocked. There was NO TV signal on ship and internet in town unreliable. Not a good day!

Cabin Review

sadly no Balcony available. Really do not like inside cabins as yearn for fresh air
