Sailed on what was two prior Covid cancellations. I have platinum status with Carnival and NCL. Compensation for the cancelled Carnival cruises was very good onboard credits with optional free beverage packages. Embarkation was a nightmare even with people coming at their appointment time. Lines went from outdoors to inside, back outside, before you were anywhere near Screening. Carnival needs to take some lessons from NCL leaving out of Seattle and RC out of Miami. Took cruises with them this year as well and boarding was seamless. The dining room staff in particular aimed to please when the food served wasn’t up to par. Lido and bar staff also worked very hard to please. Carnival has also cut down on portion size but staff had no issue substituting or giving you “seconds”. Lobster night was exceptional. The entertainment was below prior Carnival Covid standards with most of the headliner shows lacking substance and quality. The comedy acts could also be improved. More variety is also needed in the evening shows. It appears that Carnival is cutting corners or they are having staffing issues in all areas. The Cruise Director and his Assistant were very helpful and entertaining. The Casino was tight. Hold on to your money if you don’t start off winning. Overall, I give all the Crew an A for effort but Management needs to do better. Disembarkation was also hectic and required patience.

Cabin Review

Cabin Steward was excellent.
