First time on Cunard after 30+ cruises on other lines (mostly Seabourn, HAL, and Celebrity); this 4 day itinerary fit well with a week-long visit to London. Decided to splurge for a Queen’s Grill (Q5, 8181) aft suite, and felt it was worth every penny. Boarding was efficient, ship was immaculate, staff all around friendly and helpful, fellow shipmates were equally so. Had heard beforehand that Queen’s Grill is the best restaurant at sea, and it did not disappoint. On recent voyages on other lines we felt there was too much salt and we left wondering if it was us - but here it was just right, and the quality of the ingredients came through. We ordered “off menu” a few times as a perk of Queen’s Grill, and was impressed. Only saw a couple shows, but thought the quality of the performances and the theater overall was great. Despite the short journey we brought tuxedos for formal night, and was impressed that most of the ship did so as well; made the “Black and White Gala” into a special night, especially with seeing other guests do ballroom dancing with grace and flair. Of course left wishing we could stay for longer (much longer!), but hope to return to Cunard and if luck and finances hold out, back in Grills.
