We had an 8 person family group going to Bermuda for the first time. The boarding in Manhattan was a total disaster. We arrived 5 minutes before our scheduled block of time to get on the ship and were directed to a never ending line outside the building. We waited for over 2 hours on the dock walking on piles of pigeon droppings with no explanation from anyone what was going on. Finally one of our party walked up to the front of the line and found out we could pass the others in line to another line for folks who were supposed to be boarding 2 hours earlier. Again, no explanation given. It still took a half hour to get on board from there. I WILL NEVER LEAVE FROM THAT TERMINAL AGAIN. TOTAL DISASTER!

Once on board we had a great time but I do agree that the buffet was designed to frustrate you with bad design, long lines, limited stations to look for food and extreme overcrowding. In the past, we liked the buffets on most of our 12+ cruises but we ended up in the dining room so we could get food without waiting for lines.

To top things off, we got COVID. We were moved to a quarantined area for our last 4 days on the cruise. We became very sick, but I must commend the Carnival staff who had the medical staff check on us twice a day, supplied medications, set us up with free movies, free internet and we could order from the on line menus for food delivery, all for free. We also will be refunded excursions, promotional monies, and credited for days missed for another cruise.

Cabin Review

Nice cabin on Lido deck, could walk right out to pool are, movie area and buffet.
