Very sad and frustrating for us, as we have previously been lucky to have cruised on Regal and Sky Princess five times within the last year. Only sating this as we anticipated similar standards across the ship. Regrettably it was not to be.
First the ship is clean, well maintained and an easy layout since we have sailed on this class of ship before. The itinerary was not what Cruise Critic suggest, it was Oslo, Copenhagen overnight and Skagway. The weather was fabulous most of the time, with only one cool evening.
The negatives that impacted us:
Cabin as we are used to but had all the benefits that we need on a cruise. Lovely clean well maintained cabin and bathroom. Shower curtain which needs to be replaced with glass doors in this day and age. Bed gloriously comfortable with bedside lamps fitted with USB ports to maintain the charge on equipment being used.
Balcony not huge but absolutely fine for us to sit out and watch the world go by with a glass of wine.
Loads of hanging storage so no problem for us with clothes to suit both cold and warm climates as could be expected on our cruise.
Having been here before we just went for a walk on a very warm sunny day. As it was a Sunday most places were closed.
We went on a lovely canal cruise and then to Tivoli Gardens in the evening. Fabulous canal cruise and very informative. Tivoli was mesmerising especially when the lights came on. Great atmosphere but could have spent longer there hat allowed. Our coach driver was so funny he could have been on stage entertaining the ship guests. Absolutely the best ever encountered.
Nice small port which enabled walking from the ship around the town, as flat it was relatively easy. The town is pretty with all properties painted a yellowish colour and terracotta roofs. Shops, bars and cafes open so all in all a nice place to visit, though once is enough.
