This is among the most beautiful ships we have sailed on, and it would be very easy for the MSC company to make it perfect. First of all the service is great. I wish I could say the same for the chefs. Food is not great, particularly in the "specialty dining" restaurants. If the ship is owned by an Italian company, they should not try to cook Mexican, as they do not do a good job at it. Much better for them to have made in the space a small pizzeria with a couple of fresh pastas a day. This is their area of expertise, not Mexican. The other one which is terrible is the Ocean Cay Restaurant. The fish arrives dry and the waiters seem uninterested. The Butcher's Cut is adequate, but not in class of some other steakhouses in other cruise lines. The best, is the Yacht Club area, and I seriously advise anyone to pay the extra and go in that class, and stick to the Yacht Club restaurant. I think even in that restaurant lunch could be improved but breakfast and dinner are adequate. The Yacht Club lounge is very good, with nice music every evening. We only went once to a show and it was entertaining.

I would also advise MSC to check out their embarkation as it is almost chaotic. As we were in Yacht Club, we were able to find our expedited entrance, but there are no wheelchairs for passengers who need them. We had to walk all the way to the place where they were doing the check in, and there we could request a wheel chair! Anyone not being able to walk at all would have been in trouble. Otherwise, the ship is new, the casino is wonderful, the bars and lounges are all beautiful and the stateroom we had was large and comfortable. No complaints on the stateroom TV or internet, all worked well. The hairdressing salon was good, although they only do blow-dry and do not have proper equipment to do a set. Did not see if they had manicures and pedicures available. All, in all an enjoyable cruise and hopefullyin future, MSC will address the flaws.

Cabin Review

We were in Yacht Club suite 19013, I think it might be category Y9
