We wanted to have a holiday in August without too much heat and so chose this Norwegian Fjords cruise. Everything about Norway was fabulous, mind blowing scenery and lovely people.
Having read some dreadful reviews of recent cruises on Arcadia we would probably have cancelled if that would have not lost us so much money. However, in the main our fears proved to be unfounded in most respects.
The Staff on this ship are without exception excellent, wonderful service usually with a smile and often a good deal of banter. Food is the main good and plentiful with exception of the buffet which is at best basic. At first we were not happy regarding the entertainment, we had seen Killer Queen on Oceana in 2018 when I gave it a dreadful review having for the first time ever walked out. But according to many of the passengers this is a revamped version which is much better. We had seen Astonish on Oceana in 2019 which whilst we had enjoyed, it would seem pointless seeing it again. However other shows appeared which we enjoyed.
Excellent, except for not being able to use the My Holiday app and the lack of a mini bar
A great call in spite of the wet weather. As a former brewer we very much enjoyed our visit to the Molo brewery which was less than 100 yards from the ship!
Without doubt one of the highlights of the cruise. We took a boat excursion Lysefjord Cruise and Pulpit Rock. Worth every penny some of the most fantastic scenery we have ever seen. Later we made a visit to the Norwegian Canning Museum just a short walk from the ship, sounds boring but it was anything but!
