Sail Date: Aug 2022
Cabin: Deluxe Ocean View

We chose this cruise for the "island hopper" itinerary with many new-to-us ports (Minorca, St. Tropez, Corsica, Sardinia, Malta etc). It was definitely H-O-T in August 2022! We enjoyed the cruise very much. We did miss our stop in Toulon due to weather (a fierce storm that resulted in some local deaths from flash flooding).

We did not use any ship's excursions (one we thought we were wait-listed for was actually not available/cancelled). The 2 tender ports had smooth logistics, no problem getting ashore promptly as independents (as long as you go to the lounge and get your tickets as instructed until open tendering is announced).

We like O because of its a-la-carte pricing and byo friendly policy for wine. If our budget was unlimited we'd explore the luxury lines. For us O is a good fit.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View

We were in a deluxe ocean view, which is compact but has a great onboard location and as much storage as a veranda. Although the bathroom is tiny, the room layout makes closet access easier than in the larger cabins on the 'O' class ships (Marina, Riviera). The 'Next' upgrade is nice, just about everything you can see has been updated/replaced and there are now way more outlets including USB's.

If you like using magnets, the corridor door, outside (porthole) wall and the vanity mirror frame (in the cabin) plus the ceilings are highly magnetic. The bath door and most of the headboard wall (not the headboard itself) are pretty magnetic. The TV wall is barely magnetic
