Cabin: Panorama Suite with French Balcony

We had originally scheduled a Christmas Markets cruise with Avalon, but had to cancel due to the Omicron COVID wave. Avalon handled our credit process very well, and we rescheduled for a Budapest-Deggensdorf Danube cruise in July.

The Envision is a beautiful ship, and the room design, with cabin-wide sliding doors and beds facing the window, was ideal. Unfortunately, the July heat meant we had to keep the drapes closed more than we wanted, but the room air conditioning was good enough to keep the heat managed in the room.

The service we received was top-notch. The food and on-board amenities were excellent throughout, and the itinerary and excursions were very good -- we especially liked the wine-tasting in Krems.

Panorama Suite with French Balcony

Our Panorama Suite was a good size and well-appointed. This is where the design really helps, as you're not sacrificing inside space for a balcony, but the full-cabin sliding doors still give the indoor-outdoor experience.
