Starting with the best thing first....the crew! I have never encountered such happy, helpful, proud people working on a cruise ship or any other service industry location. From the cabin stewards to the waiters to the bartenders to everyone else. They were amazing and they really made a huge difference in the experience! Second best thing was the room. We stayed in a Rockstar Suite, and it exceeded our expectations. The room was huge and the balcony was huge. I loved the hammock on the balcony and spent a lot of time there. The next best thing was the food. We enjoyed our meals in each restaurant. We loved the places like The Dock, The Sun Club, and the Pizza Place. All of it was well above average for a cruise. The only negative things I have to say are about The Galley, which is Virgin's substitute for a lido buffet. The opening and closing times for certain stations didn't make any sense. For example, the ramen and taco places closed early each day. Also, it was confusing which stations would/could serve you directly and which ones required you to place your order with a waiter. Finally, my wife is a big burger fan, and gives Carnival high marks solely due to them having Guy's Burger Bar; and she said the burger in The Galley was terrible, and that is the only place on the ship to get a burger. With burgers being such a popular food item, they should probably put a little more emphasis on having a decent one. Those are very nit-picky things in the big picture. I will also add that the cocktails were fantastic, the afternoon champagne reception in Richard's Rooftop was awesome, and the boarding and disembarking processes could not have possibly been smoother. So, in spite of the minor issues with The Galley, I give this cruise an enthusiastic 5 out of 5.
