A 2 night trip to Guersey was a good way to give MSC a try.
The Virtuosa is a big ship and the biggest we have ever been on. Apparently there were over 5500 on board. It can take 6300.
Check in at Southampton was very efficient and quick ( they did require printing of all tickets and health questionaries which, seemed a little backward in the eco friendly world). We were soon on board this very new and modern ship. As we boarded, our cruise card was scanned as normal. We then had to join the queue for the “activate your cruise card” machine. Once at the front of the queue I went through the procedure only to find out that my pre cruise check-in had worked and my credit card was already linked to our account. Can the card not be activated with the check in ? But we were to go.
Cabin 13083. Very modern and the one of the best we have had. We were in the inset section of the ship and peoples voices tend to echo around that area and the were one deck below the deck 15 over hang. This creates constant shade. We could hear some noise from deck 15 and the music on party night but not massively disturbing
Horizon terminal. Very efficient with plenty of staff to help
