The Sensation is truly that...a Sensation. This was my first cruise and now I am addicted to it. My husband, two sisters, and their husbands all decided to take this cruise together. We are all so glad that we did. We are all in our 40s and thought that this fun cruise would be the right cruise.

The Embarkation from Tampa was flawless. We arrived by auto at 1130 AM. The place was already packed but the porters took our luggage (1.00 per bag) and we entered the terminal easily. My hubby parked the car in the long term parking garage (50.00 cash). We waited for less than an hour before our group was called. We were in group 7. We went directly to our rooms to check them out and were pleased. Some people mentioned a slight smell in the bathroom and sure enough..it was there. We brought a plug in for that purpose and after that first day, did not even notice any odor. The beds were already pushed together and the white down comforter looked inviting...but, the food was calling us. Our luggage was outside of the room within two hours of boarding.

We went to the Lido deck and started our 5 day feast. The food was out of this world. We managed to eat at every single food station on the ship and were never disappointed. We were delighted with the midnight buffets and the Seaview Grill made a kick butt cheeseburger. We had pizza and hot sandwiches one night at 1 am. We made sure to eat in the dining room with its fabulous view and fancy service every night. I am so that glad we did. The food was first class and our waiters, Dennis and Narcion were awesome. They waited on us hand and foot. They even danced and sang for us on a few of the nights. The men in our group all ordered double entrees and starters each night so we were able to sample a large variety of the menu. The Roasted Pumpkin soup was fantastic as well as the wide variety of desserts. The Grand Marnier souffle on the final night was super! My advice to anyone cruising...eat in the dining room for your evening meal...you will be glad that you did. We did have lobster on the formal night and it was fantastic. Try all of the things that you always wondered about. Do not worry if you do not like them...the waiter will bring you something else. Another suggestion is to invest in the soda card. If you drink more than one soda a day, I would say it would be a good purchase for you. My husband and myself each bought one and it was a breeze to get sodas all over the ship (27.50 each).
