This was my first experience with Viking, although I am a pretty active cruiser or was pre covid, including 2 other river cruise companies.

I will cut to the chase. It was outstanding 8/10. 2 points off for crabby pursor, unexciting decor, and first 2 days food was basic at best. The decor is simple, but typical modern euro minimalist. Tranquil relaxing blues and beiges. I did expect something more luxurious as this are not economical cruises. Food the first several days was definitely a disappointment, however, then I discovered the Aquavit and the food there is fresh and wonderful, especially the freshly grilled items right there on the outside deck! I recommend the lamb and burgers, great fresh fish.

We had a swan room, which held all of our stuff beautifully (2 girls) and we packed a lot! I particularly love the heated bathroom floors and refrigerator in the room.

Cabin Review

French Balcony Superior

French Balcony cabin was excellent,. Extremely well designed, plenty of space and loved the heated bathroom floors!

Would have liked a larger selection of movies on the TV as there is not much to do in the evenings.
