We booked this cruise last minute after a cancellation by another cruise line. After booking I read reviews here and my heart kind of sunk thinking we'd booked a pretty sub par Alaskan cruise on a sub par "older style" ship.
Well, I'm VERY pleased to report that was not the case for my wife and I.
The Good
We stayed in balcony stateroom B720 (aft, deck 11). The cabin was very clean (probably expected considering it's only several months old) however we found the layout, albeit on the smaller side overall, to be very functional and certainly good enough. What was a pleasant surprise was the quality of the bed and materials used for the sheets/bedding. A+ for us. We realize this could be rather subjective but we find it hard to believe anybody could/would complain about the bed.
The bathroom was, again, on the slightly smallish size but perfectly functional. The shower had great water pressure, everything was simple and easy to use and the sink was actually rather large and very accommodating. Placement of the toilet paper roll in this case is the only miss.
