This was nearly our 20th cruise but the first time on MSC and it was a great time. Embarkation was a little rough but there was a Coast Guard inspection that delayed things. But MSC has a little work to do on streamlining embarkation like other cruise lines have done. We thought the food on board was very good. The buffet had fewer choice but the food they served was very good. The pizza and pasta served on the ship was outstanding. The MDR was good. It had fewer choices in the MDR but what they did serve was very well done. The service aboard the ship was very good. All the bars and areas on the ship seemed well staffed and went over and above on service. There was live music throughout the ship which was a lot of fun. We thought the entertainment staff was truly great and made the cruise particularly fun. The main shows each night were just okay but the rest of the entertainment and activities more than made up for it. Our cabin was a good size balcony cabin and was better than most. MSC's private island was more rustic than Cococay which is way too commercialized. We preferred this private island. Overall, MSC is a great option to cruise. We definitely will be cruising with them again.

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve

It was rustic and layed back than other private islands. They did charge $15 for an umbrella. But the Lighthouse and Lighthouse bar were fun.
