The view from Cabin 7500

We chose to take this short cruise from our home port in the NY area because the price was good. My wife and I sailed on Royal Caribbean once before on Navigator OTS. We have cruised with primarily with Princess and NCL in the past.

For this short Adventure cruise, we took our 4 year old daughter along. We booked cabin 7500 which is an "Ultra Spacious Ocean View." The cabin layout is unique and definitely felt spacious. Our daughter loved having bunk beds even though she was the only one using them. However, the cabin is very run-down feeling. It's clean, but if this boat was refurbished in 2016, I think they forgot this cabin. Everything from the carpet to the electrical outlets to the bath fixtures had an extremely worn feeling. The safe didn't work and the mini fridge sounded like it was dying.

We booked The Key because it was only a couple dollars more per day than the streaming internet plan on its own during a promo. The Key lunch was decent. Seating was done as individual parties rather than a huge table of Key cruisers like some past-cruisers have mentioned. I felt the shrimp cocktail was very good with four nice, big, snappy shrimp. The filet was a bit small, but it was cooked nicely. If this is what's served for the Chops Lunch and I paid $25-30 per person for this, it's questionable whether I think it's worth it. For my cost of The Key, I think it was a nice and calm way to start your vacation.
