We chose this cruise to meet up and spend time with friends we made on another cruise a few years ago. This was our first Viking cruise and we were very pleased and impressed with everything Viking. The ship could not sail all the way through on the Rhine due to low water levels, but the crew seamlessly moved us by bus from the sister ship Alruna to the Tialfi at approximately the halfway point of the cruise. Our dining room server Rudi was great - so friendly, caring and accommodating - and he accompanied us to the Tialfi, serving food and beverages on the castle tour boat as well. Our luggage was moved easily from the Alruna to the Tialfi with little effort on our part. The feature of this cruise was actually on land - The Passion Play at Oberammergau. The tickets Viking secured for us were in a great location. Even in the hotels after the cruise was over, Viking had representatives to assist us. Viking reps met us at the Munich airport as well. The only issue we encountered was the bus driver who took us to the airport seemed ill-informed - he unloaded all the luggage at Terminal 1 however many of us needed to fly from Terminal 2. So he had to re-load most of the luggage. All in all it was a great trip and we found Viking to be outstanding. We would definitely sail with them again.

Cabin Review

Veranda Suite

Our Cabin had 2 rooms and was actually quite spacious. There was plenty of storage space. Our cabin stewards were very friendly, caring, thorough and helpful. Cabin was made up daily while we were at breakfast and "turn down" at dinner time.
