We were a family of 11 that included grandparents, parents, two in early twenties, two teens and a 7 year old. Our family cruises alot. We have sailed with RCCL, Celebrity, Carnival, NCL, MSC, Costa, but this was our first Disney cruise. It was delightful. Embarkation was a breeze - with the most pleasant staff we have ever encountered during boarding process! Everyone was smiling and welcoming us aboard - from porters, to security, to desk staff and security again. The personalized welcome as we entered ship was a nice touch. This is not a new ship, but it was immaculate. Disney has done an excellent job of keeping the Dream ship-shape. There are lots of beautiful spaces onboard.
We had one interior and the rest were verandah staterooms. Cabins were decent sized. The deluxe interior cabin, with its webcam 'porthole' was much nicer than interior cabins I have seen on other ships. Our stateroom host, Erwin, kept our cabins spotless and we were greeted with cute towel characters after dinner each evening. Good quality soaps, shampoo, conditioner and bath gel in cabins.
Despite a dreadfully disappointing cancellation of the first night's show due to some sort of technical difficulties (passengers had been sitting in theater for some time before show was ultimately cancelled) the rest of the shows on this cruise were terrific. Much higher quality of entertainment than other lines. The cruise director and entertainment staff were very good and kept passengers in high spirits throughout cruise.
Well maintained. Nice layout. Decent size. Good closet space. Our cabin (9068) had a split bath which was very convenient. Comfy bed. Good sized verandah.
