My wife and I decided, we needed to get away for our anniversary, so we decided on a cruise, and after some research, we decided on Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas. So the morning of the 15th of August, we traveled from Huntsville to Galveston, 130 miles away. We used and downloaded Royal Caribbean application. Embarkation was 1200-1230, was so easy and simple, only 2 people ahead ofus. It all took place in about 30 minutes to board. We first dropped off our bags in 2903, then to fire drill on deck 5, muster station 8, just a few simple questions and demostration of life vest and we were done. Up to deck 9 for lunch at windjammer, crowded but lunch was good. Our breakfasts were in the Greatsby Restaurant and our lunches at windjammer, because main restaurant serves only sandwiches andsoups. We did see the comedian and music shows. We did enjoy the group Madame Jojos for music, which was in the centrum and we saw the comedian, who was not perfect. We did walk on top of the ship after our meals. I wanted to see the piano player, but did not work out because of cigarette smoke. We took this cruise so we could be away from concerns and issues, and we did that. The ship was in great condition and true, she was old, due to staff, she was in excelent condition, so no problems Our cabin porter was excellent, all we had to do was ask. Deck 2 does not have refrigrators, we forsaw that and broght a cooler, our porter kept it filled in the morning and evenings. It was mostly casual. We did do an excursion at Chen Rio, for a fish lunch. Overall an excellent cruise.
