Sail Date: Jul 2022

This was our second river cruise on American Cruise lines, but we had sailed many times before on large cruise ships to the Caribbean and Alaska. None of those ocean cruises could be considered even a close second to this last cruise on the Columbia and Snake Rivers. This ship has a capacity of 150 passengers; so much nicer than dealing with thousands of passengers. Disembarking and returning to the ship from excursions took only a matter of a few minutes for all involved. Food was excellent, service matched it, and the beer, wine and liquor available at meals, happy hour and during the evening performances were all top shelf - and included in the base price. Meals in the main dining room are open seating and over the course of the week we were able to dine at least once with almost every other passenger, which we felt was quite nice. By the end of the cruise it seemed like you were friends with almost all on board, including the ship's staff, who were all over the top friendly and would drop whatever they were doing to immediately assist if you needed anything. We were so thrilled with the overall experience that we booked next years cruise while still on board.

This is a cruise line that you do not want to miss out on.
