Sail Date: Jun 2010

Things started off well on June 9th. We boarded our flight in Atlanta. My mom had flown down the day before from Charlotte, to make sure she didn't miss her connection with me to Copenhagen. We decided to fly Delta's version of Trans-Atlantic 1st Class...they call it BusinessElite. There was no Business class on the flight, just Economy and BusinessElite. The flight was great as everyone sitting around us, practically, were going to be sailing with us on Princess. We met several people that we would run into, later, on the cruise ship.

We arrived a day early, on June 10th. We wanted to make sure we could resolve our jet lag before boarding. We stayed at the airport Hilton. I highly recommend this hotel. Beautiful hotel with nice rooms. The executive lounge was also very posh. The best part: it was connected to the airport; you didn't need to even go outside to get to the lobby! This was great as the day we landed the weather was very rainy. Also, the hotel is connected directly with the Metro. Getting to the city center was a quick 20 minute ride (and again, you didn't need to travel outside).

The embarkation was wonderful. Great job, Princess. The folks working here was friendly, kind, and efficient. The line moved fairly quickly (about 30 minutes it took us).
