This was our first ever cruise, and probably won't be our last. Most things went very smoothly and, when they didn't, the crew and staff handled them expertly. For example, after the airline lost our luggage, every effort was made to (successfully) get our luggage to us, even with the ship being on the move. Also, when low water levels on the river necessitated a "ship swap", an extra excursion was quickly arranged on a smaller boat such that we did not miss seeing interesting parts of the river. The crew/staff were all knowledgeable, polite, and helpful. Jackie, the activities director, was exceptional - always smiling, pleasant, organized and optimistic. Guides for the excursions were all knowledgeable and friendly. And the chefs on both boats were wonderful. Each had a different personality, and it showed in their delectable offerings. Last but not least, the help at the airports was very much appreciated, especially being guided expertly through Amsterdam airport for our departure.

Cabin Review

French Balcony Superior

Overall very comfortable, given the space limitations of a boat. A few minor problems, such as occasional low water pressure and closet doors that wanted to slide open on their own (on our "second" ship, which was necessitated by the low water levels on the Rhine).
