Actually we started our cruise in Zurich and ended in Paris. We sailed on the Herja to start with, changed because of the low water level in the Rhine, then changed ships by diversion along the way on Coaches to the Hild. A slight bump in our otherwise wonderful cruise. Both crews were just super organized in the transition process. Our Program director James was actually Superman in disguise, I am sure of it!! Albeit busy, our cruise happened to be our first and we were very impressed with Viking! The food was amazing, crew and staff were amazing, entertainment was awesome, included excursions were staffed with expert guides that were very knowledgeable and articulate. Paris was our last stop and was amazing!! Like to thank Viking for having a marvelous trip planned for us and carried out with precision. In Paris we were able to walk out to view the Eiffel Tower in all its splendor and at 11:00 pm the lighted tower started sparkling with beautiful lights that made our tour come to a final display of beauty.
