The cruise was excellent but there was too much bus travel. In particular, the bus ride to Paris was well over 4 hours after embarking the ship. On board the ship the service by Viking personnel was superb in all respects. The food on board was very good and the ship was immaculate. The included tours were interesting and the local tour guides were well prepared, imformative, and gave excellent historical perspective. The cabin was small but well appointed. We have enjoyed all five of our Viking river cruises, and this cruise was no exception. One real negative was the hotel in Paris for the last two nights. The LeMeriden Hotel was a typical businessman's hotel. It was way too large and the rooms were long distances from the only elevators. Also, the buffet breakfast at this hotel was terrible and barely edible. This was one of the worst European hotels I have ever stayed in.
Excellent and well appointed, allbeit, the cabin was quite small.
