We had originally book on a cruise to the Amazon, but that was cancelled due to COVID. When cruising opened up again, we used the credit Viking gave us and chose the Viking Homelands cruise. My ancestors were from Norway and Sweden, and I enjoyed a previous trip there. We also wanted to see Iceland.

We had taken a Viking River cruise about 6 years ago and enjoyed it but weren't sure how we would like the ocean cruise since we had always sailed with another cruise line. We were pleasantly surprised, and Viking is now our favorite.

The staff (crew and officers) was amazing...always friendly and welcoming. The food was wonderful. We enjoy the buffet because we can be casual and have a great selection of items to try.

Cabin Review

Comfortable with enough room for both of us. Loved the small touches like the vanity mirror in the desk. Great shower!!!
