We did a Viking river cruise and loved it. We thought this was an interesting itinerary and wanted to try an ocean cruise. It was wonderful, but we did decide that we enjoy the atmosphere of the smaller ships more. We also liked the ease of touring when the ship was docked. We didn't enjoy long bus rides to get to the sights or lack of free time during included tours. The buffet was good and well taken care of, but breakfast was pretty much the same each day. Dinners were nice but we also felt limited with options. The service was terrific. People knew our names and were very polite and friendly. The ship was also very clean, and we enjoyed the fitness and spa rooms. We were disappointed that the main pool was closed for repairs at one point and never re-opened. Overall, we had a great experience, and we will book another cruise!
