We had heard good reviews about Viking from our friends so we decided to give it a try - we were on two prior cruises with other lines. We picked the Viking Homelands cruise after having two prior cruises cancelled due to Covid. We added Iceland as a pre-cruise excursion and were glad we did. We enjoyed all of our port of calls but wished Finland had been included on the itinerary. The ship was spacious and clean. The crew couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Our stateroom was perfect with plenty of space to store items and to relax. The variety of shore excursions for most port-of-calls was good and the guides generally were knowledgeable and interesting. On-board dining was good, although there could have been a bit more variety at the upscale restaurants. On board spa facilities were very good with a nice selection of services. Spa staff were highly trained and knowledgeable. We used Viking Air and would not do that again. We found that they were not very flexible with scheduling. We have already booked our next Viking cruise!
