We enjoy sailing from Bayonne New Jersey in the summer- our annual Summer cruise. This cruise was 9 nights so we had bonus days. The terminal now is much more crowded as it used to accommodate smaller ships. When we enter the terminal area, we dropped off our luggage, then proceeded to an outdoor parking lot as the main indoor lot was full. Since we were in a suite, we had an early boarding time. People were lined up outside- they were very strict about boarding times so don't arrive too early if you have a late boarding time. Once inside the terminal, we proceeded to a suite line. Check in took longer then anticipated, as the suite line also accommodates wheelchairs and strollers so security line moves slowly. Once past security, the clerks checking you in move quickly. We had all of our necessary documents, so that worked well. We then immediately boarded the ship. We have sailed on the Oasis many times, but this was our first Oasis voyage since the Covid pandemic. The ship is beautiful and in excellent shape. We had lunch in the Coastal Kitchen. The menu was limited, but good. At about one, we proceeded to our suite. Our attendant, SeePaul greeted us. He was great throughout the cruise. The crown loft was just beautiful and immaculate.

We had the specialty dining package which was wonderful. Loved all of the specialty restaurants. Did the Chef's table and even with the package, had to pay more- that was a disappointment. Food not good, better at Central Park, Giovannis, Izumi Hibachi and Chops. Also enjoyed Johnny Rockets for lunch and the Texas barbecue. We spent lots of time on the suite deck and the bartender was the best. Didn't have the alcoholic beverage package as Diamond members get 4 free alcoholic drinks anywhere on the ship per day. We also got additional drinks from 5-8 in the Costal Kitchen. Had a non-alcoholic drink package- which really wasn't necessary, but we enjoy cappuccino, cola and sparkling water with dinner. Starbucks coffee wasn't included.

We enjoyed the live music around the ship. The ice show was very good as was the Aqua Show- Loved the adult comedy, not a fan of cats, saw a couple of other shows that were okay. We were disappointed with the shopping choices, nothing for toddlers- tee shirts too large- just a few stuffed animals. Selling second hand handbags and used watches- Usual assortment of other items.

Cabin Review

Our third time in a crown loft oceanview suite. It was great! Two bathrooms, plenty of storage- great to enjoy breakfast or snacks in. Perfect.
