Sail Date: Jul 2022

We have done an Alaska cruise before on Princess and it sailed from San Francisco. We were interested in seeing Vancouver so it was great that the cruise left from this port. The embarkation went very smoothly.

We ate in the dining room every night and enjoyed the food. Nothing to really rave about but it was good just not great. The servers were attentive . We loved going to the buffet for breakfast and learned to have our omelette cooked to order! I loved the variety of fresh fruit.

We did enjoy the cruise. There was all kinds of activities and it was fun to watch the dance instructor lead his classes in the center area. We were disappointed not to go into the Tracey Arm but this was canceled on our last cruise as well. Perhaps the cruise lines should stop advertising it because I think it’s pretty common that the cruise ships can’t go in there. We played Pickle Ball on the first day at sea and enjoyed that they now have this in the sports court.

Cabin Review

We stayed in a Jr. Suite cabin number 1580. The size was wonderful but I would not recommend it as it was right below the dining buffet. We heard multiple carts rolling and banging which prevented us from sleeping. It would start at 10:00 pm and then stop until 5:00 am and it would start back up. The room must be below the prep area. We complained multiple times and we got a tray of sweets but still no improvement on the noise. It really should be disclosed that this room is noisy.
