We chose this cruise because of Hurtigruten's reputation for providing the best and most authentic trip to the North Cape of Europe. We really liked the idea that we would be travelling on a "working boat" which was still an important link for many of the more remote communities on the Norwegian north coast. The trip was well beyond our expectations. The boat was very comfortable, with our Superior Arctic cabin being a great base for us to sleep and relax. The food on board was spectacular and really championed the best of local cuisine. The excursions that we took were brilliant and gave a shape to the days on board. We would particularly recommend: Cycling in Trondheim, Sea Eagle Safari, Breakfast at the North Cape, the Svartisan Glacier, Tromso Walking Tour. We loved all the opportunities to watch the boat dock in the little communities all the way up the coast. The views from deck all along the coast were quite simply amazing.

Cabin Review

The cabin was good and the bed was really comfortable. The decor did look a little tired, but we realise that there is a refurbishment due for April 2023.
